1.  comments about: Billion Dollar Babes

I agree with the consensus that the BDB sale was a treat! I tried on several things with the hordes of women in the makeshift dressing room and did wind up with 3 keepers. The good news is that I got out having spent less than $200! Too bad Carla only wound up with 2 things, I can vouch she tried on literally armfuls of clothing :) Seema's jewelry she got at the sale is also fabu!

Duke et Dutchess!

On Thursday night I went to the Duke et Dutchess opening in Hayes Valley. They specialize in premium denim and what a selection! If it were less crowded I would've perused the inventory more, but not to worry I'll be back! (Not that I'm complaining, it was a fun scene and anyplace with open bar and sushi catering is good by me!) The most refreshing thing however is the prices - they're quite reasonable which is increasingly hard to find in denim. Cute bags too. Definitely go check it out...

Just got a photo of me (on right) with my friend Jessica courtesy of Drew Altizer photography:

Goldenbleu!

This past weekend I went to the Goldenbleu shoe sale (thanks for the tip Carla!) and it was so much fun! It was a frenzy of women and shoes and I felt like a kid in a candy store. I knew of Goldenbleu's purses, but didn't realize they had so many cute shoes as well. In fact, they felt surprisingly comfortable too! I came away with some great boots and my friend who accompanied got some killer heels. I'm definitely adding Goldenbleu to my list of fave designers...

Must have - Tide to go pen

I highly suggest you buy one of these to keep in your purse. On a few occasions I've spilled something on my clothes while I'm out and about, and was so glad I had one stashed away. It really works - I've used it on a spaghetti sauce spill on a white top!

I also LOVE the commercial for this product, it cracks me up every time. If you haven't seen it, definitely check it out on YouTube: Talking Stain Commercial

Speaking of wallets...

Can anyone recommend a good medium sized wallet? I don't want the long checkbook sized one, or the tiny card case one, but something in-between. I've had the same Coach wallet for years (and I mean years) and recently when I took it out a friend made fun of my worn old wallet, sad but true. But I haven't been able to find one to replace it that has enough room for a lot of credit cards, and also has a change pouch. I found a cute Hobo wallet that was almost perfect, but the pocket you put the cash in wasn't quite long enough which bugged me. Any suggestions?

I heart bold jewelry

I have a nice velvet lined wood jewelry box, but the inexpensive and costumey jewelry that I add to it sometimes looks out of place! I do also have some nice jewelery, but I am drawn to big bold colorful things. One of my fave necklaces was $5 at Forever 21, who knew? But costumey doesn't always mean cheap. Some of my fave jewelry designers include Alexis Bittar, Mark Poulin and Phuze. If you like bright, bold and colorful you should check them out.
